The Open University launched a great initiative called OpenLearn in order to tackle educational disadvantage and make knowledge freely available. The OpenLearn website offers a wide range of educational resources including free learning units taken from Open University courses, unit reviews and forums, learning support and collaboration tools. The project was supported by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.
