Yahoo! Clever

I think the idea behind Yahoo! Clever is a good tool to help users to find quick answers to their questions. Social software, user rated and qualified content have already proven to be very successful in terms of quality and transparency.
As search engines are struggling to keep the quality of natural search results it could be useful to integrate a quick overview of matching answers into standard search engines.

InteractiveMedia präsentierte letzte Woche im Rahmen Ihrer Roadshow in München Ihre neue Affiliate-Marketing Plattform “adcatch”. Das System startet zunächst nur mit einigen Pilot-Kunden soll jedoch im dritten Quartal 2006 komplett zugänglich sein.

Fraglich ist, wie adcatch in Anbetracht der starken und etablierten Konkurrenz in diesem Markt ohne grundsätzliche innovative Neuausrichtung an Reichweite gewinnen will. Publisher-Kanäle sind zwar durch das große InteractiveMedia Vermarktungs-Portfolio gegeben, aus vertrieblicher Sicht des Kerngeschäfts allerdings nicht unbedingt zu empfehlen.

Google seems to be on a launching spree. After Google Base and Earth they just introduced Google Analytics as a free tracking tool.

This service is really great and you can learn very much about your site and your visitors. One main focus which differs from the original software behind is the combination with Google Adwords. Currently I am not using Google Analytics on a site which is promoted through Google Adwords but I think both services together are one more step to become the biggest performance based marketing service worldwide.
